Feast of the Elevation of the Holy Cross

Dear Friends of Holy Cross Monastery,

Greetings in Christ with the upcoming Feast!

This Sunday, September 27th (two days from now), is our Annual Patronal Feast Day, "The Exaltation of the Cross". This is an important day, each year, in the life of our Brotherhood of the Holy Cross, here in Setauket.

We invite all of you and your families and friends to join us for this celebration.

If you are able, please come at 9AM, so that a large congregation will be there, ready to greet the Bishop when he arrives.

9AM Festal Matins
10AM Hierarchal Divine Liturgy, followed by the rite of the Elevation of the True Cross
12PM (Noon) Pot Luck Meal w/ Metropolitan HILARION

Note: Exaltation is a FASTING FOOD day. Please bring fastworthy food dishes (NO dairy, NO eggs, NO meats, but Fish and Seafood are acceptable.)

Please bring a prepared food dish, or perhaps Sodas, Iced Tea, & Bottled Water! (And we always need Paper Towels, Paper Plates and Napkins, etc)
