Growth....

Dear Friends of Holy Cross Monastery in Setauket (Long Island),

Greetings in Christ!

Our community, both monastic and lay, has grown and is growing rather quickly these days.

We have many improvement or renovation projects going on presently: 2 more monastic cells, Candle-factory expansion, and also new woodworking equipment for upcoming woodwork in the Church's renovation project.

Alongside this, we are today installing a new double-size septic tank for the Monastery Hall. The single-size tank has proved too small with our rapid growth. The cost for the septic tank and work is $2,700. We need your financial help at this time!

We are also still working on raising the needed funds for Church Renovation, Candlehut Renovation and the new Monastic Cells, plus the $6,000 billed to us last week for Pure Beeswax for our Candle-making that supports ourselves by the labours of our own hands.

We kindly request your financial assistance during our growing needs to support the entire community, both monastic and lay.

Thanking you in advance,
Hierodeacon Parthenios
